The facts about the Roulette Tips
Most of us are drawn to the game of roulette due to its classic simplicity and the sheer thrill of watching the ball spin around and around until it lands on (hopefully) on the numbers of our choice. I find it incredible, however, that many new players approach the game without doing their homework and then becoming disappointed when they come out on the losing end. Here are several roulette tips that I’ve learned along the way and suggest that you apply to your own roulette gaming.
Stick to European roulette: Not all gambling casinos offer you the option of playing this version of the game that comes with a lower house edge. But if you find yourself having to choose between European or American roulette, you should always go for the former.
Don’t Bet on Number 5: The number five on the roulette wheel is the number with the highest casino advantage – over 7%! In other words, betting on number five comes with 5:1 payout odds – definitely a bet that you want to avoid at the casino.
Stick to Even Money Bets: More than any other wagers at a casino, even money bets offer you the best house advantage overall – around 1.3%. For that reason, I strongly suggest that you place more even money bets than other wagers. An example of even money bets includes even/odd, high/low and red/black wager options. All these come with a 50/50 chance of winning.
Consider the En Prison and La Partage Options: Once you have familiarized yourself with the roulette table, read up about these two wagering options and choose roulette tables that offer them. The house edge can be brought down considerably when you play En Prison or La Partage
Don’t Buy into Scams: You will definitely come across websites and books claiming to have found the ‘perfect roulette strategy’. Don’t fall for these scams. Remember always that roulette is a game of chance and there is very little that we can do to control where the ball eventually falls on the wheel.
